    • Bring your homework to class and place in the basket at the beginning of the hour
    • Use time in between classes for using the restroom, making phone calls, etc.
  • NEW RULE:  Students who need to return to their locker for forgotten supplies or use the bathroom during the class period will be required to go to the end of the lunch line that day.
  • Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings, ready to work. Pencils should be sharpened either before class or during student work time.
  • Previously absent students are expected to present their admit slips to me at the beginning of the hour.  They will also need to obtain any missed assignments and schedule any missed tests.
  • Policy for making up assignments:
    • One day is allowed for each excused day of absence that homework was assigned
    • Homework that was due on the day of an excused absence is due upon the first day back to class
    • Two days are allowed for each day of excused absence to make up tests
    • No credit is allowed for tests or homework due on the day of an unexcused absence
    • Note:  Some exceptions may apply in unusual or special circumstances
  • Keep only materials pertaining to the class on your desktop – all other books, etc. should be stored under your desk.
  •  Working on assignments from other classes will not be allowed during my class unless special permission is granted.
  • All assignments should have a heading in the upper right corner.Proper heading includes name, page number, and assignment.

  • No students are allowed to use the computers for checking e-mail, surfing the Internet, playing games, etc. during class time.  Students who choose to use the computers inappropriately will automatically receive a 30-minute detentionno warnings!
  • Students needing help or having questions are expected to raise their hand.  I will then go to that student’s desk.  Students are not to form lines at my desk.
  • Students should not have contact with my desk or other work areas.  (This insures that student papers, grades, supplies, etc. are not misplaced.)  Under no circumstances should students remove supplies from my desk drawers or textbooks from the cabinets!
  • Assignments are due at the beginning of the period the following day. Assignments are to be placed in the tray by the door.
  • I will not accept late assignments - assignments not turned in on time will receive a zero.
  • All assignments are to be completed neatly.  Illegible answers will be counted as incorrect.
  • Students are expected to treat computer equipment with care.  Fines will be imposed on students if equipment is damaged due to misconduct or negligence.
  • Gum is allowed in class.  Food and drinks are not allowed in class.
  • I will dismiss each class period only after students and the classroom are ready for dismissal.
  • All classroom rules and procedures apply when there is a substitute teacher.  I will ask the substitute for a report when I return.  If discipline problems are reported by the substitute, students will face double consequences!
